We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Dedicated Sleep and Implants, a distinguished medical specialty group. This collaboration allows us to provide in-network benefits for select BCBS PPO medical insurance plans, specifically for medically necessary Full Mouth reconstruction procedures. That means you can now access our expert care more affordably, with the support of your insurance benefits.
How the BCBS Authorization Process Works
Navigating insurance claims can be complex, so we've outlined the steps involved to help you understand and feel confident throughout your journey:
Step 1: Benefit Verification
Our team will start by obtaining a benefit verification form (BV) from BCBS to confirm your plan eligibility. To do this, we’ll need a picture or copy of both sides of your BCBS medical insurance card and your driver’s license.
Step 2: Medical Exam Appointment
Once your coverage is confirmed, we’ll schedule a Medical Exam appointment. Prior to your visit, you'll receive an email with a link to complete necessary questionnaires. Completing this form beforehand is essential for a smooth process.
Step 3: In-Office Visit
During your appointment, you'll undergo a comprehensive medical exam, including an interview, simple measurements, and dental X-rays. The entire visit will take approximately one hour.
Step 4: Pre-Authorization Submission
Using the information gathered, we’ll submit a pre-authorization request to your medical insurance. This step helps establish the medical necessity of your procedure. Often, a telemedicine consultation with one of our medical directors is required. Please note, as a specialty group, this process reflects the capabilities of Dedicated Sleep and Implants, not Implant Dentistry Northwest.
Step 5: Staged Procedures
Following approval, we'll contact you to schedule your staged procedures and review financial arrangements. We’re committed to transparency and support through each phase of your treatment.
Important Information
Since this type of surgery is billed in phases, any changes to your insurance plan or additional services not covered by BCBS may lead to out-of-pocket costs. We recommend informing your employer about your treatment plans to ensure your coverage remains unaffected.
